The herd are on the move… and so is our piano!

Less than a week before our summer tour kicks off this coming Saturday 14th May at Poole Lighthouse. Everything is almost ready and we can’t wait to get back playing again… !

This week Richard will be on both The Bay radio and Hope FM to promote the concerts – we’ll be giving away 2 free tickets to this Saturday’s show on Lisa Rudge’s Drive Time show between 16:00 and 19:00 this afternoon!

You may also have heard rumours about our new piano – but wondered why we haven’t posted anything about this. We can confirm that there will be a new piano with us on tour, but we’re not going to tell you anything about it – you will have to come to the concerts and see for yourself!

We have been working on it since Christmas, and it will be going on display in our local park of Ashley Cross for anybody to play over this August. We can promise that as always, it will be spectacular!

Last night Richard was invited down to be one of the four judges for this year’s Battle of the Bands at St Edward’s school.

Congratulations to all the bands & performers who took part and to the overall winners “Rodger n’ Me”. It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves and supporting each other.

Should mention a special thanks to Ben Sykes who worked through the whole day to make the technical side happen – good job!

Given current events which have unfolded over the past couple of weeks, we decided to change the order in which we released our tracks over the next few months. This is Song For The Departing, and we’d like to dedicate it to everyone caught up in the current tragedies and troubles in the world.

We’ve been especially moved by the story of Tatsuya Suzuki whose wife was swept away in the tsunami while lifting her children to safety. His story was featured on the BBC on Wednesday and their picture appears at the end of this video.

Today’s Sunday Roast show was suddenly and abruptly hi-jacked by members of the herd… We apologise for any inconveniances or upset caused, but Hope FM have since released a statement detailing that DJ Colin Wilkes will be returning as usual next weekend.

The two rogue members of the herd who were involved have now been returned to their pen, but we did find this photo on our camera memory stick.
